6 honorable mentions in the Romanian Master in Mathematics IV

The Peruvian delegation earned 6 honorable mentions in the fourth edition of the Romanian Master in Mathematics Olympiad, held in Bucharest, Romania, from 23 to 27 February 2011.

As was mentioned in a previous post this Olympics is special because of its difficulty, and participate by invitation only, which extends to countries that have done well in the IMO (International Olympics).

tests were, as expected, difficult. Especially considering the first day was not conducive to all teams (no participant was able to solve the three questions the first day), and unlike the IMO had no easy problem. It is worthwhile to note in this moment the impeccable work of selecting problems by Dan Schwarz (Romania) and Ilya Bogdanov (Russia), excellent mathematicians and experienced in math Olympics, which were always attentive to the jury questions and suggestions international.

Delegations from Brazil, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, China, Peru, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine and the United States.
